Here’s a little about me and how The Beauty Lounge came to life:

​

My love for hair and makeup started early—think four years old, clipping barrettes into my dad’s hair, and later helping friends get ready for school dances. I even experimented with a box of drugstore color on myself long before cosmetology school became my next step in 2007. I still remember taking a career class in high school and being one of the few who knew exactly what they wanted to do.

​

After 13 years in the industry, I decided it was time to create something of my own. I started in a tiny salon studio, which was perfect for that season—but I soon found myself craving more space and a place that truly reflected my vision. In 2024, I opened the doors to my first storefront… and The Beauty Lounge by Abby was born!

Over the years, my passion has only grown. I’ve explored all corners of the beauty industry, but my heart is truly in hair color techniques and makeup artistry. I specialize in blonding and dimensional color for mid-to-long length hair, with a focus on enhancing your natural beauty while keeping the health of your hair my top priority. Whether you’re going brighter, softer, or richer in tone, I’ll create a personalized color plan to help you reach your hair goals with intention and care.

Looking to add length, volume, or fullness? I’m certified in tape-in hair extensions and offer custom installations for a seamless, natural-looking transformation.

I also offer customized in-salon treatments and at-home care options, using exclusively Davines Hair Care, in alignment with my commitment to clean beauty and long-term hair health.

I’m deeply passionate about makeup artistry, especially soft, natural glam looks for weddings and special events.

​

Above all, my goal is to provide an elevated, relaxing experience from start to finish. Whether you’d like a cozy cup of coffee or tea—or prefer a glass of wine or champagne—you’ll always be welcomed like a guest and leave feeling refreshed, confident, and cared for.

When I’m not behind the chair, you’ll find me at home in Vicksburg, MI, with my husband and our two rescue cats, Titan and Tilly. We love being outdoors—hiking and exploring nature. On slower days, I’m usually curled up with a good book and a hot cup of coffee.
