Here's a little bit about me and how I started Beauty by Abby Bontrager:

​

I've basically been in love with doing hair and makeup since I was a kid. From sticking clips in my Dad's hair when I was 4, to doing my friend's hair and makeup for school dances, then getting creative with a box of color on my own head before I finally got to cosmetology school in 2007. I remember doing a career class my senior year and I think I was the only one that had it all figured out exactly what I wanted to be when I "grew up"!

Flash forward 15+ years, and I have only grown in that passion. I have tried it all but my true love is in hair color techniques and makeup artistry.  

Maintaining the health of the hair is extremely important to me in every service even when I'm blonding or doing dimensional color. I offer add-on custom hair treatment options, in salon, or for your at-home care. I work with the Davines hair care line for both my color and styling products.

When I'm not behind the chair, my husband and I live in Vicksburg with our 2 rescue kitties, Titan & Tilly. We love to go hiking and spending time outside in nature. We are both big hunters too and love to provide to our table that way. On my days off, you'll find me curled up with a good book and a hot cup of coffee.​
